Index 11 Wins “Innovation in Manufacturing” Award at Mr. & Mrs. Economy

We are proud to share that Index 11 AD has been recognized with the “Innovation in Manufacturing” award at the “Mr. & Mrs. Economy” competition, organized by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB).

The award was presented to Dr. Ivan Rangelov , Director of Business Development at INSA OIL, in recognition of the successful realization of the Index 11 project — the first plant in Europe and only the third globally dedicated to the production of beta-carotene through a unique, fully Bulgarian-developed technology.

The technology behind Index 11 was developed by scientists from the University of Food Technologies, and the total investment in the facility amounts to €25 million. The plant is part of the Insa Oil Group and represents a true breakthrough in industrial biotechnology.

The beta-carotene produced at Index 11 is 100% biologically pure and finds application across the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and animal nutrition industries.

This recognition is not only an award, but a strong validation of Bulgarian scientific excellence, industrial vision, and the ability to compete at a global innovation level.
